HOW TO MAKE UBE PUTO CHEESE
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of Ube halaya
- Few of Violet food color
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup of evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup of powder milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp baking powder
- 1 pc. of egg
- Few of salt
- 1/4 cup of butter (melted)
- 1 tbsp. vanilla
- Cheese (for topping)
- 1 cup of water
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, put the flour, powdered milk, sugar, salt and baking powder. Mix well
- Another mixing bowl mix the melted butter, egg, evaporated milk, ube halaya, vanilla, water and few violet food colors then mix it well.
- Pour the ube mixture into a dry ingredient and mix well.
- Strain the mixture puto to make it fine and smooth.
- Scoop and pour in the puto molder and arrange into steamer.
- Put cheese on topping and steam for about 10 to 15 minutes.
- Let them cool down then remove the cooked puto from the molder cups.
- Serve and enjoy ube puto cheese!
